paraSITE

A series of two and three dimensional drawings and models depicting simple interventions throughout a city using memory maps as their schema.

A series of two dimensional and three dimensional abstract models were made in an attempt to translate the experience and three dimensional space of Nottingham. Later, using the sites existing social and physical context these models and maquettes would become the touchstone for a physical manifestation of the speculations and notions of the site. A collection of 1:100 models were cast from plaster in order to represent the materiality of the existing site. These speculations were then used in order to create additions to the urban fabric. These additions had no specific purpose other than extensions of the public realm and their own presence.
